BMW Team Italy-Brazil Dominate At Rockingham

A 1-2 for the BMW works team sets them in a good position for season 2 of the Skymonkey Cup. A very close qualifying, with only a second separating the top 15, meant the race was always going to be close and interesting. However, on the warm-up lap, Paul Godden of Techsnake Racing lost it on the last bend, resulting in a lost splitter. The first lap was spent limping around the track with front-end damage before going into the pits. After the incident he was effectively out of the race. Darren Davie also had some bad luck, when at the same last bend, also, lost the back end and spent a lap in the grass, trying to work his way out, which he did eventually with the help of the stewards. Other than the pole sitter, Stephen Jelley, who had problems early on, the rest of the field had a fairly consistant race.
